For the first time since my fandom started, my favorite band is releasing a new full length. Released the first single today. If i have followed everything corretly these were songs the band did on their own accord whilst in China. Damon didn't seem to thrilled in past interviews about the input, but in true Albarn fashion he has done a 180 and said upon returning to the work Stephen Street did, he's loving the output of their trip to Asia.

Saw them at Coachella two years ago (my wife has seen them more times than I know). My wife is the biggest Blur fan I've ever seen and she said Albarn looked disinterested. I let her know about this and I hope she gets excited again. Thanks for the news!

Love Blur, but I'm kinda "meh" about the song. Interested to hear future tracks....!! BTW the Graham Coxon solo stuff is killer.

This is album will essentially be for Coxon what Think Tank was for Damon, a solo album featuring the others, IMO. He took the session tapes to Stephen Street and they hashed out the album.

A lot of people aren't really digging the single I don't think, but I love it. The guitar work is what I love my blur to sound like. Also, album recorded in 5 days, and mastered 1 day before the announcement. which I think is pretty cool in it's own right. I couldn't have died in peace without Graham being on the final LP.

SO this album has been out about a week now. It's been in heavy rotation on my TT. I absolutely love it! A pretty dense album that keeps revealing itself more and more with each play.

Go Out is still one of my favorite songs on the album, and it sounds infinitely better on vinyl, like with 13, all of Graham's "noise" comes through much clearer. Pyongyang, Ice Cream Man, Thought I was a Space Man are the most recent to stick out strongest to me.

I just want to remind everyone that this awesome album exists and definitely recommend giving it at least 1 back to back play session.

Haven't listened yet, but definitely will. Used to be way into Blur.
