Favorite reverse delay?

Post by afterosmosis »

I'm looking for a delay with a good reverse mode, what do you guys like?

I have a DD20 but its reverse is only "OK". I've heard good things about the Hardwire delay but have never tried it.

I like DD-5 and the Flaskback print I made...

i thought the reverse on the timeline was good, but by no means should anyone blow that kinda money just for the reverse mode.
also i think the EHX SMMH is a pretty quirky and inspiring reverse delay that really has it's own thing going on.
i kinda stopped using reverse delay and have been using the hexe revolver as a reverse sampler instead though.

Yeah, we kinda just did this. In a thread in which I was looking for a super inspiring musical dreamy eery reverse delay.

DD-5 is the answer. Empress VMSD does a great reverse delay as well, but it was SUPER finnicky and annoying to operate. Yeah that's right, 'operate', opposed to just 'using' it.

I really like my Timebender for reverse. Here it is compared to the DD20's reverse (jump to 4:56)

Thanks for the suggestions so far, I'll look into them. If it helps, I'm looking for a reverse delay that's 100% wet (killdry, whatever you want to call it).

Likewise. Advantage to the Vox Delaylab, though, for assignable expression control, which set to time gives you quick control of your phrase length. Advantage Hardwire, though, for not being so fricking huge.
