I bought a Space but sold it cause I felt it was way more than I needed. Realized I didn't need as many presets. It certainly can do a lot but it was overkill for me. I also found some of the reverb types lacked a bit. I heard good things about the SAudio and I got one at a pretty cheap price.
It sounds really good. Gonna look into building a small footswitch EXP pedal to toggle between parameters in each preset. Only 2 presets but I found to sounds that will cover a lot of ground, and I'll use the EXP to control the Mix.
I'm sorry if I sound superficial in any way, but maybe you wanna invest in a brown paper bag too. I bet it sounds awesome, but my god; what were they thinking designing that? /fashionwhore, over and out.
It's really the next best thing to a Space or a Big Sky, IMO. Sounds every bit as nice as either one and gives you just as much knob control, just with half the footprint and mono. The multi-function knobs are a pretty clever solution for packing more parameter control into less pedal. I don't like that you have to use the SA expression pedal, but if you have one it can be a lot of fun. The echo mode is particularly excellent, and super flexible. Morphs from cleanish delay right into RE-20 territory, and beyond to smeared out foreververb. It's arguably the best pedal they've put out, and definitely in their top 3.

I get the hate for the looks, but I don't agree with it. I've crossed over to the dark side and favor coarse utilitarian toolbox aesthetics over glitz and style. I think Soundblox look fucking rad, especially when they're next to Eventides, where they belong. Serious business. They also look awesome in pairs.
Yeah, I don't mind looks of pedals too much. It is oddly shaped, but maybe it's just cause most of us aren't used to such aesthetic approaches to pedals. I wonder what Alien pedals look like?
Instead of bleeps and bloops, do they make glerps and glops?
I'm trying to figure out how I'd need to wire a switch for the expression pedal. The mini jack uses a 4 conductor jack, not a normal 3 TRS type.
Yeah, it's for control with the hothand ring, as well as their expression pedal and other stuff. SA is always coming out with new expression controlling devices, but the exclusivity of the hothand jack has always been a pain in the ass.

Have you tried to do anything like I was planning to do regarding the EXP jack?
No, I wouldn't even feel comfortable opening one of their pedals. I already owned the SA expression pedal when I got the reverb, so I was able to get the most out of it right away. At one point I owned the Dimension, two of the Soundblox Pro distortion pedals, and the expression pedal, and had them all linked with hothand cables just to explore the functionality across a group of pedals. It was flawless, but pretty unnecessary for the distortion pedals. The Orbit, Manta and BEFPro would all be better choices if you want to exp-link it with another one. I was also able to use the Pitchfactor to convert expression pedal (CV) input to midi output, which I sent to the Soundblox Pros, but could also be sent to one of their expression patchbay thingies.
It's an investment, but if you buy the Hub you get an Exp input. So for $100 + cheap exp pedal you can control any sb2 pedal you own. I love the dimension. The only thing that might boot it from my board would be a H9 core, but I'm so far out from that point that I'll continue loving it and not consider getting rid of it.
Edit: I forgot to mention that adding the hub adds 128 presets if you have a device that sends midi PCs. Could already be worthwhile if you sync it with your Timefactor.
Always been intrigued by those soundblox peds myself. I'm sort of a purist when it comes to digital dirt effects, but all the other Source Audio stuff seems legit.
This looks rad too, too bad it'll take ages to find one of these on the used market :s
