Really... $300? I get it costs a lot to build pedals as a small builder but it's not that complicated a circuit, nor does it use any particularly hard to find parts... and adding a rate control to the LFO so it could be tuned really wouldn't have been hard.

i remember, like 15 years ago, sneering at a lot of those DOD pedals because they were... cheesy and irritating sounding (except for delays? i never met a delay i didn't like), and i hated the switch.

now... a $300 clone.

It is so going to happen. If it happened to the Death Metal, Meatbox, Buzzbox and Gonkulator (more?) it will happen.

But for like $250, not $150.

I know the Vitriol is based off a DOD pedal too, but I don't know what.

So is the Flex their only original circuit? Well I guess they have a reverb and a delay, but neither of them were different/impressive enough for me to think twice about them.

I'm still interested in trying out a Flex Pro, Density Hulk and Vitriol.

Yeah, those are the three I'm interested in too.

Next time I feel like I need more dirt, I'm probably gonna go for a Vitriol. If I want something extra bonkers and feel like paying for an expensive freakout box, Flex it is.
