That's ridiculous!

You could seriously cop those same sounds with a kaoss pad. For half the price... and hundreds of other effects. :picard:

hey hazelwood, so a kaoss pad will loop a pre-defined time length at the touch of a button? i'm actually curious, it's something that i'd dearly love to do, but seems hard to find. i want cd skipping glory at the touch of a button

if it does, i'm totally all over it.

i don't want to pay 3-500 for something that should only cost one.

you can definitely cop those sounds with a mini kaoss pad. itll actually do one better with filters and effects on the skipping effect. it sounds pretty rad.

While I agree that he could make more and make it easier to get one, I don't really blame him for going the ebay way on these. V1 was pretty cheap but got flipped for insane amounts. If selling the first couple batches at crazy prices helps him get setup to make more in the future more power to him.

of course if he doesn't keep making them and I don't end up with one without going broke...

I snagged one of the originals when they came out (second batch I think). I use it with my DS!

I freaking love this thing. I love that sound, what else can do that, besides the KP and the DD-(x)?

:omg:

Conflict of interested'd. :bob:

Yes, I am selling one. Doesn't change the fact that it can replicate the Teaspoon's effect(s) pretty well. It seems kind of silly to be paying $600+ dollars for an effect that you can replicate + have a ton of other effects on for a quarter (or less: hint hint) of the price. Granted it doesn't have as much control over the skip back loop sample thing whatchamacallit but if your looking to make some looped stutter sounds why pay more?

On the other hand The Squarewave Parade is an innovative, independent builder who definitely deserves the support if you can pay the price of admission. :thumb:

Innovative? Yes. Quality? :idk:

I've heard they've got some shitty build quality. I haven't owned any of their stuff (But if I did it would definitely be a DOWNGRADE (as that thing looks pretty sick, a tweaked bugcrusher)), so I can't say from experience. They've got the marketing down, that's for sure.
