Cold Modulation

So, I have two CE-2s and an analog delay. That's nice and all, but sometimes what I really want is some super cold, harsh, digital sounding chorus and delay. What are the coldest, driest sounding delays and choruses and flangers?

I had the T-Rex Twister (Chorus/Fanger)... I sold it because it was too cold.
You might like it.

Ibanez CF7 was super cold/clangy sounding from what I can remember. And can be had for cheap as a motherfucker too.

The digital setting on Echo Park is pretty cold, if I understand the term cold correctly. :thumb:

Exactly what I want. What delays sound really digital?

DOD Ice Box cause duh and cheap Flangers with lots of manual and feedback but no depth or speed...

as far as delays go, the ibanez DML10 would be my 'coldest' pick, and it can also be a chorus or flanger depending on how you tweak it. low fidelity and unfiltered, really stands out in a mix.
for chorus or vibrato, the polytope is a really nice hi-fi digital option that has an awesome metallic edge to it. i also really like the whammy detune function for this.
phasers - Boss PH3. seriously underrated.
digital pedals rule.

Detune mode on the Boss PS-3. Or you can do detune in manual mode on the ps-2 if you want it to be more harsh and imperfect. EHX Nano (not Neo) Clone is a cold chorus sound as well. I haven't played one personally, but I suspect the Polychorus has that cold vibe...

What about adding compression like a Janglebox or whatever.

T.C. electronics stereo chorus, out of every pedal I have ever used I still find it the most digital and cold and generally unfriendly pedal.
