Eminence Governor for high gain?

Any metal or high gain players use this speaker and can comment on how it performs when cranked up loud? I tune to C standard and really cant find too much info on this speaker that references heavy tones and high gain. The Swamp Thang and Man O War are usually used for lower tunings, if I understand correct, but I like a more mid range focused and smooth sound so the Governor seems more appealing. Your input is greatly appreciated!

It's a V30 clone. Perfect for high gain. I have a pair and push them hard as fuck with tons of volume and pedals. Great speakers. Not spikey like a Celestion, smooth and thick. They also pair up really well with other Eminence speakers. I have two mixed with a pair of Cannabis Rex 12's, and soon I'll be adding a pair of Wizards. Eminence speakers are loud, so they really only pair well with other eminence speakers. Governors are like 102/103 dB, louder than a V30. Again, I dig them. And I don't like V30's.

I have the Eminence Texas Heats and they are fucking awesome for high gain. I tune to D standard or drop C. Handle heaps of power, no speaker breakup, punchy mid range, no icepicks... RAD!
I hate V30s.

I meant to chime in here yesterday, but was busy. I think the Governor is a great all around British voiced speaker. I think it sits about perfectly between the V30 and the G12M Greenback. It's definitely got plenty of balls when called for, but the cleans are very pretty/chimey and detailed too.
I've got one for sale for quite a good deal, but may be tempted to trade it if you've got something I'm interested in that would be a similarly good deal (interested in a RAT, Turbo Tuner, Doom Bloom/Algal Bloom). I used mine in an Earcandy 1x12 with my Champion 600 and pedals for my lower volume practice rig until I sold the cab. Now it's the odd man out, since I have my 4x12's loaded with matching pairs, and no 1x12 for the Gov..
I've been able to compare it to my alnico Fane AXA12's, EVM12L's, Celestion Heritage G12H(55)'s, made in England Mesa OEM Celestion V30's, WGS ET65 and Vet 30's, and my old Weber 123055 which is a Celestion G12H(55) clone. The Governor held up favorably to all of them.
I thought I posted it here, but it looks like not.
This is my ad over @ GAB. PM me if interested.

I don't think I would favor them over my EVM12L loaded 2x12.... Buuuut they are nice for what they are, and they are priced well. I've never had an issue with eminence, while I have had issues with WGS, Weber, Jensen, and Celestions. So eminence always gets my vote.

LOL, don't go putting words in my mouf.
No, not for all things, but for some things, yeah. EVM12L's are a lot of awesome things, but British voiced is not one of them. No my EV's are paired with my Mesa V30's in my 4x12, so I get that Brit kerrang and chime along with the EVM depth, articulation, and punch. I used to have them in a Boogie halfback I sealed up the top bout on, and man that cab was huge, but when I go to just EV's I miss that signature Celestion sound.
My point was that I've got/had a lot of good speakers, and the Governor was no slouch amongst a top notch crowd.

LOL, I recant everything I said.
I'm such a fuckin' stoner.
I was just walking out to my living room and I was like fuck, I don't have a Governor.
I was thinking of my Eminence Wizard. I don't even have a fuckin' Governor. LOL.
So take everything I said, and apply that to the Wizard, which is the speaker I have for sale.

HAHA!
I've been wanting wizards real bad. I'm debating between two Wizards or a Wizard and a Red Fang for a 2x12 I'm getting soon.
But to the OP, I have governors and they are great for high gain. I tune to C sharp standard and I've pushed these speakers with my Model T, Sound City, and Traynor, through several high gain dirts. Great speakers.

Mine's 8 ohms. If you want it I'd be down for trades or $$, though cash is preferred since I'm wanting a new pair of Fanes or if an SRO pops up one of those.

Thanks for the offer man, but I already have some on order and got a big discount on them. Very excited to hear these things blast out with my BAT Quantum Mystic.
