Anyone listened, opinions? I'm really loving it. Different, beautiful, but still Sunn O))).
If you haven't liked them in the past I recommend listening to this one.

No beats. At it's core it is very much Sunn O))), but if you're not a fan of raw drone, you might find something in this one. The first song features a really fucking scary use of strings, the second an all female choir--the third and fourth horns. The last track, which is the most out of the ordinary for Sunn is named for Alice Coltrane, and to me, it sounds like something akin to movie score composition.

maybe not, but you should check out kang's "virginal co-ordinates" and "atlantis" and then some O)))... and yes this is fastly becoming my favourite Sunn album
kang also shreds some violin on secret chiefs 3

I've not heard it yet, but what I've heard sounds like a great move into new sound areas. That's the thing I love about SunnO))), they're always moving forwards.
As soon as I get back to the UK (in Winnipeg right now), I'll order myself a copy.

it would be great if sunn did another collaboration album like with boris, but this time with Belong, Sons of Magdalene or any other massive tape recording band... or Willie Nelson

Love of all that is blackened. I have been stuck on this, pentemple, the Earth ep With curt on vocals GYBE and a silvermt zion. also Black One by Sunn is killing me.
