This is a first album release by Šamanovo Zboží. Příběh Kuřete is a progressive rock conceptual album about the hardships of an individual in the cold and mechanical society.
The album is my farewell to the band. I was a part of it for about four years and since I spent so much time writing and rehearsing this piece of music, we decided to finish it recording with me before I cut myself off completely. I played electric and acoustic guitars, bass, did backing vocals and all the soundscape drones underneath the narrative and during some songs. I also helped produce and record the album.
Despite all our differences, I see this as an undoubtedly respectful and ambitious project and cherish it beyond anything else I’ve ever done with the band. I feel proud quitting on a high note.
It was also a valuable experience for me, because it was the first time I had to take production really seriously. Learned so much... Plus I feel that some of the solos I played on the album are my best so far (didn't play all the solos... I like to think, however, that our styles are nicely different, so we both shine in our own ways).
oh by the way... it's in Czech, yeah... if there are any questions about the story or the album in general, ask away
I'll be happy to answer them.
I remember some of you really liked our EP. This is better
enjoy, guys
