Anyone tried the Source Audio OFD? (bass preferably)

Anyone tried this thing? :idk: Looks like a pretty decent dirt modeler, and the price tag appeals to me.

I have a polygrace that I use for fun and wacky sounds, but I am interested in this for more "usable" dirt (i.e. tube-like boost, maybe some fuzzes, whatever).

If you've tried an OFD (guitar or bass) let me know what you think!

I use it and love it. A lot of the tones sound pretty similar when you crank the gain, but as you back off there is a lot of variety. I use the hub and a midi controller along with it to have tons of presets. My favorites are tube drive, big pi, el raton, octave fuzz, and gated fuzz.

Thanks man! I might look into getting one soon if you happen to know anyone selling :thumb:

Just watch the talkbass classifieds. They're popping up a bit more often. I made a new tone today with the octave fuzz gain cranked, noise gate on high, and rolled down the volume on my bass so that it just barely triggered the gate. It was synthy splattery goodness.
