What small combo are you playing?

I'm looking for a small combo, wattage isn't too important but probably 10-15w is good. I just want a platform for my fuzzes and drives, and I prefer a master volume to get a little crunchy for some pedals. I'm using a tiny terror and orange 2x12 now but the terror isn't great with all overdrives and the 2x12 is huge. I'm trying to spend in the ballpark of 300-500 used or new. What do you guys play with?

I play an early 70's fender bronco, it's basically a fender vibro champ with different aesthetics. Prices have been going up on these lately, but can still be had in your price range.
Paid $250 for one about 4 years ago. It's only 5w but plenty loud.

I've got a Laney VC-15. I like it; decent clean sound, takes pedals nicely, sounds great cranked when I get the chance, and enough volume to be clean-ish at normal person rehearsal levels.

I'll play.
Main amp is a five watt combo, made by Kitchener Electronic Industries. It has a United Conservatory nameplate but I've seen different nameplates. It has three controls: Volume, Tone/Power, and Tremolo rate. It gets dirty at 9 o'clock and stays that way but louder on the volume, tone is just treble roll off with a lot of variance, and the tremolo is really warm and pleasant. Responds well to adjusting the volume on a guitar, and can be real fuzzy by itself. Also it shits itself when pushed by anything other than light drive (thanks 6' speaker).
Here's an old pic (big muff for size comparison)

Also, I own a Kustom Double Barrel, and it's in your price range and it takes dirt pedals well and I own a Traynor YGL1 and it's a nice combo but it lacks personality.

I'd go with an ac15 personally, or else a laney vc-15. Both should be able to handle pedals pretty good, and they do cleans as well not-so-cleans...

Interested in the responses in this thread - I've never really had a 'bedroom' size amp

I use a little Vox AC4C1 for bedroom playing. 4 watts. Playing by yourself it's more than loud enough. I usually don't turn the master vol past 12. Works pretty well with pedals but you can get tons of crunch on your own. Won't get Fender cleans but is clean enough with the gain turned down and the volume up. Can find them second hand for pretty cheap.

My practice amp is a Marshall JTM30. Probably a bit loud for what you're looking for, but lets you get your MARSHULLLLLLL on at a somewhat reasonable volume.

I use a Tiny Terror through a 1x10, and when I'm not using that, I use an old Harmony 503 amp. It's kind of like a Fender Princeton
