amp question

hi senseis, excuse my ignorance, but is there a benefit to 'daisy chaining' amps? what I mean is jumping the input of one amp into another. like, amp A has two inputs, you plug the guitar in one and run a cable from the other into the input of another amp.. or sending one amp's out into the other amp's effects loop return (kind of thinking this will kill one or the other...) will this make anything louder?
I'm asking because I came up on a Carvin X100B as a 2nd head. not sure if there's something off with it, but my goal was to run it stereo with a VK, tho it's not powerful enough (dimed it doesn't match my vk's volume at 5
). so is it instead possible to use the carvin for my 'main' sound and use the VK to push it louder out of one cab?
thanks!!
