Parasit Studio - epic noise makers and fuzz

So our very own UglyCasanova switched me on to this - http://parasitstudio.weebly.com/original-designs.html

I was vaguely aware of the tremolo pedal he designed from another forum, but hadnt checked the other ones out.
My favourite is the Arcadiator, which I intend to build next

The reason UglyCasanova linked me to it is cos he wanted me to build him a two in one, of the Raygun PLL and the Flawed logic fuzz
The result is this (nicer red box in person, my camera suffers with non-natural light...) :

Image

There is an order flipper (pointed down its left to right, pointed up its right to left...I think I remembered that right!) which allows very different response and sounds from the interaction of both in series.
The Mod switch on the Flawed logic brings an oscillator into play. The Rotary on the Raygun side starts off at "Stun" which is "just a fuzz", and from there decends rapidly into PLL pitch-divey madness.
In short, its amazing.

Enjoy pics. Cheers for the inspiration, Kent. I hope you like your pedal.

Ian

(ps incase anyone needs to make one of the Flawed Logics, here is my adapted vero, note the issues with the TL062 have been fixed)

What?!?!!?

I asked if you could make me this literally two days ago, and you didn't even have any CMOS IC chips in. Yer a wizard, Ian! :animal:

AND I LOVE FALLOUT! YOU KNOW THINGS ABOUT ME!

Im stoked you like it. Whenever I think raygun I automatically associate fallout, so it had to be a bobblehead. Next time you can choose the gfx, I promise.
And there is a uk place that does next day parts :excellent:

I recently did a vero layout for his Corruptor Ring Mod;

I'm in the middle of a PLL build right now, but it's way up on my "to do" list. He puts up some great stuff.

I should mention, the vero is for the full version. All the bells and whistles, the schematic is over here; http://parasitstudio.weebly.com/uploads ... 8_orig.png

There should be a note as well; the 10K resistor, after the second inverter on the input side (vero R4), might have to be bumped up to prevent any possible continuous oscillation. According to another builder, he had to go up to 47K to kill it. Best advice is to put in a 50K trimmer, set at 10K, and try it. If it oscillates, dial the trimmer until it stops, pull it out, and measure the resistance. Put in a resistor that corresponds to what the trimmer tells you.

Full details on the build are here; http://www.diystompboxes.com/smfforum/i ... c=109237.0

I there folks
I just wanted to pop in a say hi. I'm glad that people are showing interest in my stuff. :)

I just "released" a new thingy, a ringmod called The Corruptor

I hope you like it. :) You can find vero and PCB layouts at my blog.

This is the simple barebones version of the same ringmod that digi2t posted a vero for.
I will soon finish up that full version too. It's pretty crazy. :)

Anyway, that 2 in 1 box looks very cool. Great job!
I have a pipboy on my original Raygun Youth fuzz, except that he is wearing a KKK hood...
It's just a reference to Reagan Youth (the band).
