Hey hey, it's that time!
Boards of ILF 2015 is off the ground and going strong!

If you've never seen this before, here is the link to the previous year's, so you can see what goes down:

BILF is an annual, very casual competition where ILF fellas anonymously submit pictures of the boards they've proudly put together.
Members of the community vote on which board they like the most, and then the winner is voted in as the year's prom queen!
I'm Joseph, and I'm taking it upon myself to be your handsome host for this year's competition.

I think that'll be the case with most of them. Most of us tend to have specific styles/looks no matter what we're using.

Also, I think last year the winners got some cool swag?
If anyone wants to hit me up about a good way to get that organized, it would be fun to get something worked out.
Prizes are always fun.

I can donate a little pedal to best small board, as I don't have a small board myself, but love seeing them. It will be used though. I bet most people don't mind.

I'm sure you've already thought of this, but you should change that categories after submissions are in, so that all the categories will have comparable competition size. so if you end up having a lot of large boards, say 8 with 9+ pedals and 8 with 12+ pedals you could then make 2 different categories with equal competition.

Also I think letting people vote for 2-3 different boards would be awesome.

Right, that's the plan.
After everything is in I'll try to distribute it so there are similarly-sized pools.
The current designations for categories are tentative, which is also why I had people say the number of pedals they have in the email subject.
That way I can easily redistribute the categories.
Who knows, there may even be an "extra large" category added, or something.

I think most people will likely fall into the medium-large range.
But we'll see as I get more data points!

Motherfuckers, I've only gotten two entries so far.
I'm sure it's probably because all of you are carefully crafting your boards.
Cleaning up everything, straightening things out.
Making sure there are no toes in the picture.

Not sure I'll do this year, the simple fact is I'm using far, far more than just the board, and it's out of context with the rest (rack, Space Echo, etc).

For me the more I've thought about it it's a case of "show your A string only" type thing what doesn't work when you're regularly running through enough devices in parallel to power a small country.

I'll be sending in mine closer to the deadline. Too much stuff incoming I'd end up submitting updated versions all the time :P

Fuck it, just submit a picture of your rack gear. You can make more weird sounds than half of ILF combined. Submit it in the small board category
