hi guys, best wishes!

I guess there are thousand topics like this one but unfortunately i cannot find the right ones...

I'm looking for a low budget fuzz/od to complete my budget pedalboard for messing around.
I have a boss blues driver that I like a lot, but it is fucking with my tone, even with tone on zero it is way too shrill...

so I'm looking for something with that same fuzzy/od character but wit more low-mids. The t-rex mudhoney is perfect but too expensive

mabye the electro harmonix hot tubes nano can bring the perfect drive? someone with experiences?

or the boss od-3 (secondhand), or the digitech bad monkey, of the danelectro cool cat fuzz II, or...? come on, what is the best non-boutique low-mid heavy fuzzy od for 50€/60$

thanks!

There is also a demo tape fuzz clone for $70 shipped in b/s/t that would probably work awesome.

I've had my eye on the EHX Germanium OD for a while.

EHX Germ OD is awesome and can do both gnarly fuzz and normal-ish OD. I miss that fucking thing and really want to buy another.

Boss HM-2. You can find a MIT for less than 50 €. Japanese ones would cost slightly more. Also Boss ODB-3 is a great underrated pedal especially for low gain settings.

I want to say the EHX Germanium Big Muff. They can sell for pretty cheap in the US used.

Well, I play bass, and I loved it, if that helps any. But then I usually like to bypass tone stacks whenever that's an option. I like the open sound of not having any roll-offs.

I think I have a clip of it somewhere, I'll see if I can find it.

EDIT: Crap, I found the clip, but it was recorded using a shitty computer mic, so you can't really hear the bottom end on it at all. Oh well.

I've heard a lot of good things about the Digitech Hardwire CM-2 OD and SC-2 Distortion. You can easily find them used for around $50.
