Hi all:

First post here. I have a bunch of fuzz pedals and love them to death. Some of them include:
-Devi Ever Shoegazer (one of my favs)
-Devi Ever Silver Crank
-Devi Ever Ruin (little too harsh for me)
-WMD Geiger Counter (another fav)
-Pigtronix Disnortion
-Pigtronix Aria
-Malekko Fuzz
-Mooer Black Secret (nice little rat clone I think)
-Mooer Cruncher
-Double Big Muff (very noisy)
-Tech21 SansAmp Classic
-Tech21 XXL
-Boss DS-1


So my question is, what are some other fuzz pedals that I should consider that don't get covered by the territory I've got already? What are some of your favs?

Custom Algal Bloom (Bass mod, 7 way diode switch, oscillation knob). Nothing sounds like it, and nothing is more versatile. I keep recommending it to people for a reason.

Different octave fuzzes sound different. More octave fuzz, up and down, is always good.

There are only about 4 Fuzz pedlols listed so shouldn't you consider them all???

Get one of the Industrialectric sq wave fuzz units in the bst.

Also - octane. Tone Machine. Bee Baa. Incinerator.

The ones I would recommend are for the most part DIY pedals. You might find modern equivalents for some of the ones I'm about to mention, but for the most part, the only option is DIY.

- Superfuzz. As mentioned before, looks like you're thin on octave. Lots of different commercial variants out there, too many to list. I have a DIY one, that I love.
- Spaceman Effects Dual Fuzz Generator. Great all around fuzz, covers tons of territory. Good luck finding one, but DIY is possible.
- Parallel Universe II. DIY only, but woth the effort. Great, thunderous, fuzz, with sag and oscillation. Super pedal.
- Skyripper Fuzz. A Joe Gagan classic. DIY only, and more fuzzy velcro than you can shake a stick at. With a Fuzz Face, and Rangemaster circuit on board, does tamer stuff just as well.
- WTF (What the Fuzz?). DIY, but it's a small circuit, which makes it an easy build. Great octave, sits between the Superfuzz, and the Foxx Tone Machine.
- Schumann Two Face Fuzz. A recent DIY addition. Covers everything from straight dirt, to over-the-top, completely bonkers noise.
- Ampeg Scrambler. A real ear drum boinker.

If you're OK with DIY, or you know a local builder, you might want to consider a look at these babies.
