One of my favorite bands of the last 10 years or so. I wish they'd come out with a follow up to Road Eyes.

That is one of the worst band names I've ever heard.

Funny you say that, because it's one of my favorite band names!
It's pretty unwieldy, though, I'll give you that.
I liked Road Eyes, but holy god is the cover art horrible! Good call on posting Flashlight Planetarium, that's probably my favorite track off that album.
For some reason, my favorite song of theirs is Young Fight, from the EP of the same name. I say "for some reason" because I probably wouldn't call it one of their best songs, and it's definitely not most representative of their sound/style. Really love the wistful chord progressions and bits of piano.

"Diarrhea Planet" now THAT is a terrible band name.
Thanks for the support Pentametre.
APOF's sound has certainly evolved over the course of just a few albums/EPs. All good sounds to me. I like the progression and where they've ended up.
Looking forward to hearing what they do next.

Have you ever had a chance to see them live?
I don't think they come to the states very often, and, like most bands that visit from abroad, they've never dropped by Kansas City.

Nope, never seen them. I'm curious how well their sound is reproduced live.
I'm often disappointed by bands in a live context.

Yeah, I especially wonder about the vocals, as a big part of Michael's sound is doubling and harmonies.

Yeah, definitely the vocals.
FWIW...I'm kind of ok with bands being amazing in the studio and not being able to pull it off live.
As long as they are able to capture the studio brilliance, that's really the most important thing to me.
