Not sure if ya'll saw this...coming out in a few days.
Next week we'll be rolling out our new line of Gold Foil Pickups. These are NOT the thin, surface mount versions- we took the same internal construction and tone and made them fit standard humbucker and P90 slots- so NO ROUTING. Vintage and hot winds- priced like all GFS pickups- wholesale direct.

If they're cheap enough, as they likely will be, I'll prob grab a humbucker sized one for my JM neck. Anyone else curious? They certainly look nice.

Curious, yeah. I wonder how they would compare to the reissues Eastwood is using.

Wish they were thin like the old ones. I'm keeping a lookout for an old cheapy to flat mount between the two humbuckers on my kramer. The Harmony Bobkat I used to have with the single gold foil in the mid position had the best clean sound ever.

Yes… I have a friend who is obsessed with gold foils.. personally I don't like them, they make everything sound like a acoustic guitar to me.. but whatever

I like extremely "live/open/acoustic-y" sounding pickups and microphonic pickups and such. :D

These are available now. I just got a humbucker sized single coil ferrite neck. I'm going to toss it in my VMJM neck. It should pair decently with my Antiquity I. I'll post clips once I get it installed.

They are apparently potted (lame). I might try and heat some of that wax out. I like microphonic pickups, especially in my JM.

Just installed this (kinda...need to figure out a better way to mount it in my JM). First impressions: LOW end for days. At least way more so than the VMJM neck that was in here. It seems pretty clear. Not microphonic at all (bummer). Definitely different than some old teisco PUPs i've played with though. I'll throw up some demos later.

Here are some demos. Pardon the terrible playing. Guitar is a VMJM --> Blackheart Handsome Devil 15w. Audix i5 mic. Not post processing.

First one is just repetitive chord work. Gold foil neck only, Gold foil/Antiquity ii middle, Gold foil neck only --> Meathead dark, Gold foil neck only --> Fuck w/ crackle mode on.

Second one is just some looping with a Fuck into a SHO and some Multiplex delay and DBA reverb. All neck only.
