Heard many great things, and few bad ones. Interested in few models and I can't even decide. Anyone own/tried them?

Never played one but yeah they sure look nice, so I'd like to try. I am also interested in this thread.

I used to have a Reverend Daredevil w/ humbuckers, about 5 years ago or so, until I traded it. They've discontinued the model, but it seems similar to the current Sensei model.

It was a pretty cool guitar. Wish I still had it at times. The bass contour circuit deserves a lot of credit. Not quite single-coil territory out of the humbuckers but still more effective than a coil tap. Definitely a versatile guitar.
The only things I didn't like were the neck dive and the neck finish. But those are kind of inherent in a lot of SG-style guitars. I'd like to try their Fender-style guitars next time.

It played as well as any Gibson I've ever messed around with. Unfortunately Gibson-types aren't my thing, which is a big part of why I got rid of the Daredevil.
You shouldn't really worry about picking one up sight-unseen. They're solid. And it looks like they've gotten even more solid in the past few years.

And I have had GAS for their Dub King bass for a while. One day I'll probably track one down.

I played a Warhawk for about an hour at my local guitar shop. For the price it was amazing. 3xP90s, 5-way switch, bigsby, solid built, great fret work. Felt like a chunky yet lighter les paul.

And it looked so much cooler than a les paul

The dude from Chicago Music Exchange did a bonercity demo on the double agent, whilst Mr. Andy did his awesome demo on the Six Gun III, which in my opinion has the best sound of all (strangely enough, I hate strats), and that bass knob seems to be very effective in giving it more body to the tone. Now that Warhawk RT just looks sexy as fuxx

Why did you sell it?

I have a Reverend Rocco. It's one of the original USA lines. Hands down, the best electric guitar I have ever played or owned. It's also the only guitar I have ever bought new. I am sure as you go up the cost scale it might not seem as great, but for a guitar I got for $699 (on 9/11) it would be hard to beat. With the coil taps, it is incredibly versatile. And as a bonus, it was one of only two ever made in it's particular color/control configuration. There are only a few guitars that I would sell off gear for, one of them being the OTHER guitar like mine. I would also decimate my gear collection to get a hold of a Reverend Wolfman. I wouldn't mind a Rocco with a trem either, but my Surfcaster fills that role ok for now.

I haven't played a lot of their newer stuff, but all the old school Reverend gear is top notch. I have one of the original Drivetrains living on my board. The biggest musical gear mistake I ever made was selling off my Hellhound amp. If you ever get a chance to play one of the early USA models, definitely check it out.

I'd just been playing the jag and les paul and the reverend wasn't getting played.
Plus I had doubts about its visual appeal

I have played a bunch of them, and they sound as good as they look. Love the way they play too. An Alpine Green Warhawk will be one of my next guitars.

I've played their 5 string mercalli bass. it sounded very good and played awesome. it also looks cool as fuck. If I was to buy a 5 str fretted bass strung B-G it would be my first choice. but I'm not really looking for that right now.

I owned the Jetstream 390 and my friend had the Double Agent which I borrowed from time to time. Our local store is starting to stock them as well so I think I will be playing more of them in the future. Nice guitars for the cashish and I REALLY appreciate the inclusion of locking tuners on all their models because it's something I always install anyway. Want to try one of their basses some time.

If you're wondering I didn't flip it for any real reason, was just going through a lot of guitars at the time.

Me too. Once I can get back to the point where I can afford another instrument, the Dub King will be it.
