Hi all,

I recently did a repair for a gentleman out in Seattle, and the package was stolen off his porch. It's a Schumann PLL, serial #12.

If you could all keep your eyes open for any PLL's coming on the market. Be especially vigilant for any photos NOT showing the bottom, where the serial number is found. If you do cross one, please inquire as to it's serial number, and if any internal photos are available. I'll recognize my work.

If you do happen to cross it, please PM me right away.

Jesus, I'm not even sure if the common layman would be able to know what it even is. :| Did the guy file a police report? On the good side, something that rare would be easier to find if it pops up in any market.

Yes, police report has been filed. I've posted on all the forums, since for the most part, we do know what we are looking at.

Did you have insurance? Or sig delivery? I know that won't return the pedal but he'd be able to maybe get some money back if they don't find it. Ugh. People are such assholes sometimes. Sorry to hear about this.

You're better off checking the local dump than pawn shops or music shops. When thieves figure out a package contains something they cant easily sell they usually just toss it in the garbage. No loss to them.

I had a pedalboard stolen a few months ago and nothing ever turned up in the pawn system, craigslist, or ebay. It was probably tossed in the garbage almost immediately when the thief figured out it wasn't a laptop like he was hoping for.

Ugghhh that really blows.

Thieves are my worst fear. Really sorry to hear that. But there's something my French brain can't process. Is it common for the mailman to actually live a parcel on a front porch?

i think it depends on where u live and who your mail carrier is. in the suburbs, yea they will do that. in urban settings, they almost never leave the packages. still depends on who the person is schlepping your mail for u.
