I'm thinking about kicking the OCD off my board in favor of something a little more wild. Something less smooth and more crunchy and glitchy maybe. I'm thinking of selling it and getting a Harmonic Percolator clone from CBC, but I figured I'd ask around to see if there are any other weird overdrive/distortion boxes I haven't heard of or come across.

I'm not some blues dad. I don't want smooth and tame! I need crazy, trashy, and gnarly!

Also:
Fuzzhugger Arc Flash. Strange, it's one of the most bat shit high gain spitting fuzzes I've heard, but it is also a fucking awesome clean boost or low, low gain od. You cannot fail to love it.
Fuzzhugger Suneater with low gain toggle. Soooo nice. Very lo fi and gets all the way up to kindy quasi brassy highish gain fuzz with super good clean up. But seriously, fuck clean up.
Jordan Bosstone wtihout clipping diodes is nice. If you have lower output pickups and are prepared to use your volume knob it cleans up pretty well and gives a dirty od even with the clipping diodes engaged.
Boss Metalzone - clip or desolder D3 and D4 and you get a pretty nice overdrive with some weird and massive eq possibilities. If you can find one cheap, which you always can, it is worth doing just to see what happens.
Fairfield Unpleasant Surprise - it will get into fuzzy od territory, but with the gain that low you get massive gating and spluttering. All of the fuzzes above will still sustain well when behaving like ODs but the US won't haha. Crunchy and fucked up.

Blackout Musket - didn't really like it as a high gain fuzz (and flipped it), but low gain stuff was really, really nice. A bit unruly, a bit wooly. Good fun.

I just got a Devi Ever Year of the Rat. By itself it kinda sounds like a dying amp or when you still hear notes coming through even though you just flipped the power switch on your amp.

Its a great stacker though, and can make anything you throw at it transform. Really interesting textures. It can also boost the bass on some settings too, which is nice.

Currently running a hyper fuzz on mode 2 into it which brings back all the mids and gives it a burlier chug with a hint of velcro decay now.

I will NEVER sell or remove from my pedal board the Wilson Dual Lotus. Mine is this version https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GYArnGm6CPg but the current run has dual ins and outs (making it two individual pedals unless you use a jumper) and an LED clipping switch and low pass filter on each side http://www.wilsoneffects.com/DualLotusDrive.html. He makes a single Lotus as well. Supposedly they're Dumble style circuits but who knows. All I know is it fucking rules and has so much range it's insane, this guy's taint.
