Not sure if we should sticky this, but I was shocked to realize we don't have one of these threads yet.

My cover band (hard rock/metal) has a couple gigs scheduled:

10/17 (tonight!) - The Lucky Dog, Worcester, MA
12/13 - The Steel Pub, Athol, MA

Shit man, I wish I had checked this thread earlier. My buddy does sound at the Lucky Dog and it's only about 20 minutes away. :(

Holy shit, you're friends with him? He was fucking awesome! Bar none the best sound guy I've ever worked with. 99% of soundguys expect bassists to DI and look like they took a bite out a shit sandwich if you ask them to mic a bass cab. He was totally cool with it and gave me exactly the tone I wanted. I really hope the Lucky Dog wants us back just so I can work with him again. Next time you see him, tell him that cover band bassist that he mic'd up was really happy with the sound that night.

Will do good sir. :thumb:

My band has played the Lucky Dog a few times and I've always been super stoked about the sound when he's been working. I don't know if you've played Ralph's in Worcester, but it's far less pleasant of a sound guy experience haha.
