TOM Bridge tailpiece

So, I've been wrapping my strings around the tailpiece of my guitar bridge, so I have more string to work with when I play back there. I'm also pretty sure the angle between the section for intonating and the tailpiece affects sustain and intonation in some way. Does anyone know if the wrap around bridges I see on places like Guitarfetish are replacements for the tailpiece only, or the whole TOM bridge setup?

The wrap arounds are replacements for the whole tom setup. They are also not interchangeable, the anchor posts on a wrap around bridge are quite a bit wider than the tom's bridge or tailpiece.

Too wide for replacing the bridge? Yes, without major modification.
If you wanted to use it as the tail piece to wrap the strings around, maybe. You would need to measure the tailpiece and then find measurements for a wrap around bridge to confirm. As I do believe the tailpiece anchors are spaced wider than the bridge in TOM setups.

Ya, that was more what I meant. The site listed something like 82 mm, but I don't know if that's the width of the whole piece, or the distance between the post slots.

AA is right; the post spacing on your bridge is very different than the tailpiece, and this Wilkinson is designed to replace the one-piece setups on PRS SE guitars and other LP Jr-types.
FWIW, those WIlkinson pieces sound better than some stock import garbage but are a serious pain in the @ss to set up. If anyone wants one, I'll hook you up for the cost of shipping...
