Not sure if this has been seen here or not yet. Tym Guitars has announced a new fuzz for Isaiah Mitchell from Earthless. It's a Triangle / Colorsound Tonebender hybrid with a mid lift switch to flatten the muff EQ scoop. I was lucky enough to play the prototype for this and it could very well be my favourite fuzz. The mid lift is great and the pedal cleans up so well that you can roll volume off to get some nice light OD or crank it up for some great big muff goodness. The TB side is quieter than the Tri side and is darker. Having both in one pedal is a nice fun bonus. Personally I liked the Tri side more but both sounded great. I'm a well publicised Tym effects fanboy, I'll admit that but this thing was superb to play. For those who are interested in such things, here's the blog story on it. Now I just have to get my hands on one.

Seems like a cool pedal
Would be even better if the toggle was a foot switch
Tim is a great dude and does a fuckload of good, for the Brisbane/Australian music scenes and the world at large

There is a difference in volume between the TB side and the Tri side due to the nature of the circuit so having a footswitch instead of a toggle wouldn't be that great (in my opinion) from the time I spent playing it.

SO it's more of a "pick one for the song" type feature?
Still super cool. I'd love to get my hands on a tym pedal one day, just nothing really suits my needs at this point in time.

Persoanlly I'd see the mids thing as a toggle and the footswitch more useful to change modes, and then have independany volume controls. Would have been much more functional.

Stacked Muff into TB with reversible toggle.
That's what I thought this was.
I'm sure it will still be hot shit though.

I think it's just separate circuits in the same enclosure, not stacked
Not having it foot switchable makes sense with the volume difference I guess, could have been cool though
I'm sure the mids foot switch is good too though
I just love multiple foot switch pedals
Anyway someday I'm sure I'll go to Brisbane and check out the shop, hopefully pick something up

I'll confess I haven't been to Tym's since he moved to Stone's Corner from the Valley (which was fucking ages ago) but admittedly its because its a long way to drive when you can't afford anything in the shop.
I always wanted to try one of his Sour Lemons and a Wasrite though. But again, it has been a long time since he made them.

You've already sold me on that name alone.

Really dig what Tim does and it's stupefying that I don't have any of his pedals in my possession. This will be the one.
