I might be getting a Musicman HD130 for $180!

Title says it all! Local gear hound messaged me at work saying it was at a Pawn America, so I tried to convince one of my friends to go and put money down on it for me, and it fell through. So I called them and had them put it on hold until I can swing down tomorrow after work. Unfortunately I will have to put it on layaway , do to a recent trip and illness causing me to lose some fundage. I might try to hauk off all my cheap pedals to knock a few bucks off the cost

Here's the dilemma: I only have an Orange 2x12 cab, rated at 16 ohms. I see the HD130 has a switch for 4 or 8 ohms, is it series or parallel? Can I just use 2 speaker cables to run from the head to the amp? How can I make this work?

Damn! Also, I would just run it on 8 ohms, and plug one cable in to the amp to your cab. Slight mismatch, but should be fine. You can also prob rewire your 2x12 to be 4 ohms.

Good idea. I'll probably rewire it to 8 ohms if I can. I have a Fender PA100 I need to run at proper impedance as well. I do have a Peavey 115 in storage somewhere that I can use too. I should probably put a nicer speaker in it. My guitar rig is so close to bring perfect. I'm soooo cloooose.

Depends on what speakers are currently in there. If it's two 8 ohm speakers, you can either wire it to 4 in parallel, or 16 in series.
