I have a beautiful squire tele but it hummmmmmmmmmmms. I would like to know I can shield it to lower the out put of the hum.

Also how do you do the 4 way switch for series and parallel tones for a tele I found some one ebay but can they be trusted???

Last would putting these two pickup together cause any problems with the differnt:
Cable, DC Resistance, and Resonant Peak? And on the quarter pound what does it mean by tapped and full
Neck:
STR-3 Quarter-Pound Rhythm
Cable:Single Con. PVC
DC Resistance:Tapped: 6.6 k Full: 11.8 k
Resonant Peak:Tapped: 8.3 KHz Full: 6 KHz

Bridge:
STL-1B Vintage for Broadcaster Lead
Cable:Single Con. Cloth
DC Resistance: 7.6 k
Resonant Peak: 8.5 KHz

Hey there,

If your still interested in this...

For shielding a Tele head here http://www.guitarnuts.com/wiring/shielding/tele.php

As for switching... There are such a horrible amount of switching so you'll either have to be more descriptive (I want the neck to be stock, 2nd pos to be series 3rd pos to be both pickups etc...)
But... you might find what your after in this large selection of schematics http://www.geocities.jp/dgb_studio/tlmod_e.htm

As for the Tapped and Full question that means it's usually a humbucker, a tapped humbucker only uses 1 coil to act as a single coil so thats the actuall definition in the case of that pickup from the look of it though theres 2 versions and the Tapped version is just lower output cause it says it's single coil... unless it's a humbucker in a single coil enclosure with 4 wire hookup so you can have it full or tapped like a humbucker...

Hope this is of some use,

Scruffie.
