This one was new by me:

Somebody out of the US on TDPRI already hot one and reports very positively. Looks to be a very solid offering, and while modern fake WRHBs, the same as used on high-priced American models.

$299 street, FFS!

I don't know much about that squire model or it's pickups, but I can say that I think the modern squire guitars are great value for money. A few months ago I bought a VM Jaguar with humbuckers. The pickups were ok but I ended up swapping them out for genuine Duncan's and changing the tone caps to n.o.s Russian p.i.o caps. It is fast becoming my favourite guitar. Squire have entered a golden age in my opinion.

Would it be totally silly to have Novak redo the WRHBs legit-like for the same price as the guitar?

Yes, pickup mods at 3x the cost of the guitar is the serious option.

I know you've got both, UG, and that you find the CuNiFe are better, but three times better?
