i spent too much time trying to find the octave pedal that suited me. I play proggy-bluesy-outerspace type shit. I started with a POG2, too many features. T-Rex Octavious was good, but got pretty ring-moddy if you weren't feeding it a dickload of signal.

Got a HOG2 in a trade, its in BST.

I got Randy's Revenge which i love for dissonance, bell sounds, and dissonant bell sounds, but i'd like to find something that really thickens up my sound when i'm powering through some super pedestrian two string parts.

the micro pog does not particularly appeal to me, i've tried it a few times, but never owned one. Is Octron the answer? I screened lots o vids and demos, but i mean hell, how natural does it sound really?

You want octave up or suboctave?

Pitch Bay might be a good bet. It has a gain control that might help thicken it up. I think theres a little warble though.

Lots of choices for analog octaves. SubT, Second Voice, Octave Divider.

Pitchfactor is the holy grail of pitches. Up, down, delayed, modulated and sideways.

im looking for octaves that neighbor the dry signal. nothing else. and sadly, size matters.

was looking at octron 2's until i realized that i have an octron (1?) sized hole.

Im not sure exactly what you mean by this.

Look at the Pitch Bay. Its small and pretty simple.

+1oct and -1oct i'm guessing. Pitch Bay or Boss PS-6 might be a good bet.

yars. 1 up 1 down, mPOG style, just not sounding like an old woman whistling with a mouth full of chili. im liking the pitch bay option. i like it small.

I don't like the EHX ones either, too warbly, the Boss MO-2 is pretty okay though.

That ebs octaver is Not synthy.

So, while we're on the subject, what can do a clean octave up with little to no warble? Besides the Pitchfactor, cause I'm not a damn millionaire.

The Whammy (5) is the best as far as I know, though the Boss MO-2 I mentioned before might be an option too.

you should really try out the pitch bay, its incredible. its almost too perfect with its tracking, i like things a little messy. But its full feature set is super smart.
