Looper that gradually degrades the loop

I'm looking for a loop pedal where the loop becomes more muffled and distorted with each time around, like an analog or tape delay. Think William Basinsky's "Disintegration Loops."

AFAIK the only pedal that can do something like this is the Strymon El Capistan. Any others?

I had a thought though, maybe the TC Flashback could work? It only has 7 seconds of delay time, but that should be enough for short loops, and maybe with the Toneprint editor I could set the feedback to just about infinite? Guys with the Flashback help me out.

El Cap can definitely do it, the Flashback might be able to get you there as well. Especially with the Toneprint editor

El Cap is what came to mind, immediately.

Akai Headrush E1 has 23 seconds of tap tempo delay. E2 has like 35.
Set it to tape echo mode and you are done.

^this is actually what i've been doing w/ bpm delays instead of tap. works amazingly, i like it better than a looper tbh
