Point me in the direction of some cool leather guitar-straps

Please do. My fake leather one is falling apart. So much that I'm worried about my guitar hitting the floor one of these days. I like my straps on the wider side of the spectrum.

Another Couch fan here. They're vinyl but super sexy and well made.

I'm not saying "leather from mistreated and tortured animals killed early on in order to get the softest leather". All the vegan/hemp/cotton straps I've had have not lasted long, either having suffered the wrath of my canines or simply because they were bad quality straps. I'm not saying no to non-leather straps, but the one leather strap I do own looks pretty much identical to what it did three-four years ago. If Couch-straps are sturdy I don't mind giving them a go :)

EDIT: Couch it is. So many cool looking straps :thumb:

Indeed, after reading this post I pulled the trigger on an 80's merc dark red for my JM, Couch produce excellent bespoke alternatives.

If you want something a little different I'd totally recommend a jaykco strap. I have a silk strap with suede backing and it's super comfortable and rugged but still thin and compact. they wear in really nicely with age too. Suede is wayyyy durable.

I don't like leather for straps. I've used countless makes and settled for Couch's seatbelt straps a few years ago. Never looked back. I pretty much own one for every guitar and a spare or two. Indestructible stuff. Congrats on the Couch :thumb:

In my 20 years of playing, I don't think I've ever "worn out" one single guitar strap. Not that ever did a big tour or even played out on a weekly basis or anything...But still. What is there to break? :idk:

Anyway, Couch and Soldier sraps are way cool. I personally rather spend that sort if money on a pedlol and settle for whatever generic vinyl strap that crosses my path. Got to admid though, some of those Soldier look miiiiighty sweet.
