I just found out about the monotron delay

I think I'm gonna get one as soon as I can afford it.
Korg are churning out the goods lately.

This is the direction I'm trying to go in. Monotribe and a volca sampler would be fun. As well as an elective. What's the difference between the electribe and electribe sampler?

i think the sampler version just lets you import your own samples instead of being limited to the synth modeling built in to the unit. and it seems to have a couple of advanced options - Time Slice and Resampling.
probably worth it if its not too much extra $$. the integration with Ableton is pretty exciting too.

The sampler has an input (stereo 1/8") so it should be able to live sample. Unfortunately the Volca doesn't have that capability.
I am going to be all over the Electribe Sampler. I love that the pads are laid out like the Tempest, touchscreen will be fun. Also the 16 beats mode (like theTempest) will be great. I am hoping it comes at $700 or less.

I'm slightly bummed that you need an iOS device for the volca. :<
