I've got a GTO. Not too sure how much different it is from the GT120 but it is a fucking beast. Pretty much cured my Model T gas. Hell, it pretty much cured my amp GAS altogether.

(Dunwich not withstanding. That shit is gonna happen somewhere down the line.)

Yeah, model t's are just so overpriced, I'm hoping this will have a similar canceling effect.

Gonna grab it with a marching cab. Anyone have a matamp cab?

See if they'll build you a 3x15 or 4x15 cab.

I had a square Matamp 212. It was the most disappointing musical gear item I've ever owned, regardless of the drivers I put in it. Luckily I managed to shift it quickly. I appreciate others have had stellar experiences with their cabinets though, of course.

Beyond that, I've owned a 1224 and a weird 90s Green and both had great, different tones. The dudes that do the amp building side of the business (as opposed to cabinetry) are great to deal with. I am super interested to see/hear this new GT120 though - it might be something I order pretty soon.

You will need some dirt in front of it at lower volumes, I'm building my 2nd GT120 at the moment.
Should have it done within the month!

dang, i hope their 4x12s are better news. the 1224 looks pretty cool, might even be a better choice for me but for now i'm set on the gt-120.
i will let you know as soon as they let me send the deposit. maybe i can get some pics of the prototype.

i'm planning on a GT120 next year too...its a bit of a drive, but planning to go to the factory and try a bunch of stuff before I decide on the spec.

First one I built was the hilbish one, then I just did my own this time round.
Hilbish is OK - but definitely only build an amp if you know what you're doing :D

Let me know if you have any questions about it, can help you out.
Or anything in general.

Oh and cheers! :!!!:

It's very dry, very open, very raw, very dirty, and very bold. It wasn't my personal cup of tea, but you can't go wrong with a GT120 and I rarely hear people complain about theirs.
