Old verses new hot cake.

Just wondering the difference between the old and newer hot cakes. Has anyone A/Bd them? They have different chips. What is the tone difference between the two chips. The 071 newer chip and the 741 older chip models.

Beats me, but I'm sure the man himself would be best placed to answer your question. He's usually helpul and fast in his replies, so I'd say get your info straight from the source:)
Though I'm sure the consensus on the internet is the same as with any vintage vs new comparison: Older = better
