Someone offered it to me in response to a craigslist add I posting, asking for a cheap guitar.
Looks like it could be some older oddity guitar, or it equally as likely could be a shitty ol' First Act.

I think it looks sort of cool in a clunky, minimalist sort of way. Anyone have any idea what this is?

I was gonna tell you it's a First Act. I couldn't've told you the model, but that pickup's a dead giveaway.

If i remember correctly, there are like... walmart First Acts and then proper custom shop first acts though, right?

yeah, but the low-end ones are the ubiquitous ones.

I have a First Act tele-like and I have a lot of fun with it actually. It's chintzy but the neck shape feels great and it twangs so I couldn't give a shit.
