Ok, so the subject line is a bit facile, but The Lees of Memory is the new thing by John Davis of Superdrag. So far, there's only two songs out, but promise of a full album ANY MOMENT NOW!!!!! It's pretty solidly MBV-y, but I have absolutely zero problem with that.

Here's annudda one, this one off the upcoming album, which is way more Superdrag-ish than MBVish... but I loved the 'drag, so I'm ok with that! It does still have some smeary atmospherics, but the vox are definitely more decipherable.

Dude, I found Superdrag's first album at a pawn shop with my friends the other day with no clue who they were. We popped it in the cd player and I was like "hey it says their single is on track four." Then we instantly realized what the fuck we were listening to.
These two tracks are pretty darn cool.

Ha ha ha - awesome. Gotta love those pawn shop finds.
If you dig these two Lees tracks, you should definitely pick up Superdrag's third album "In The Valley of Dying Stars." To me, it's their most realized album, and mines similar territory - the gaze moments are less MBV-ish and more "smeared wall of Marshalls," but they're still there.

I LOVE THIS! The MBV worship IS pretty apparent, but it's disorienting in its own unique way. So good.

This is real nice. Overall it's maybe more early Boo Radleys than MBV, but I dig it. Was never a big Superdrag fan back then but between this, Cheatahs, & Nothing I'm kinda in a 2014 gazin' happy place.
