Power Amp and Cab as second Amp?/ a good, loud amp (looping)

My main/only amp is my Fryette Sig: X and Deliverance 4x12.

I used to use an old Ampeg v4>Marshall 4x12, and a Fender Bassman 100>Marshall cab, using them both simultaneously for looping stuff.

I recently started playing with my drummer friend again after a hiatus. Since we're getting back into looping, I think I need a second amp again to help distribute some of the loops.

I run my laptop/audio interface in the Fryette's FX loop. I was wondering if I got a good power amp - tube, for guitar/bass, and ran it into a cab if that would be a good solution to a second amp. Since my audio interface is in the FX loop, and I could assign one of the audio outputs to the second amp, the Power Amp would be getting my Fryette's preamp tone, which is good.

Any thoughts?

Yep that should work just fine. But you could get a fine amp for the price of a decent tube power amp.

Yeah, thats true. I guess I need a capable amp - it can even be combo, maybe bass combo. Solid State is fine too, as long as it can keep up with my Fryette.
