USPS can suck a fat one... or how my pedals went missing.

didn't want to have to post something like this ever. but... the worst case scenario has occurred.
USPS cannot find my package that was marked "out for delivery" last wednesday 7/31/14
and since then the package status hasn't been updated and the courier that covers this hood said he never had a package for me that day
I actually spoke to the postman that day and he said the same thing, you just have to double check especially with government institutions...
I've called, have claims open and actually spoke to someone at the office who is really trying to track it down
but it's looking GRIM...
https://tools.usps.com/go/TrackConfirmA ... 4209000035
and of course we didn't fully insure the pedals as we do so often here  to bite me in my arse
traded a fuzz stang and a goodbye 24, the one on his website that was painted..., for a terminal and a rainbow machine to cover some ground
so the USPS is only going to replace $50 in 30 days time-ish and Chuck was super cool and will toss me some sheckles...
and to top things off, I'm currently "freelance" which is pretty tough these days and finding a real job seems almost impossible :grumpy:
so... really I just feel like I needed to vent my frustration
also to put it out there to see if any super-awesome souls out there feel like helping a brother out...
I'm open to whatever could potentially help right this out.
any kind of donations :p
awesome blowout deals!
interesting trades?
I've had some pretty awesome experiences with fuzz lovers on here and think we are a different sort of breed.

my main fuzz gas since trading the fuzz stang and not getting the terminal is something nasty and buzzy like the FY2 but with tone shaping like the terminal offered.
any suggestions there? I'm thinking LAOWIZ
and love vintage fuzz tones and missing out right now, was hoping the fuzz stang would do it for me but was left searching. and now I'm torn.
what do you guys/gals think of the YARDBOX? also want a SC 71 to compliment my v3 SC. do you think the SC 71 can satisfy the need for a yardbox? the demos sound sweet while the SC 71 sounds amazing but still brutal.
but still open to foxx tone machines, spaghetti western fuzz, double beat craziness, broken busted ass fuzz, destruction overtones >>>

any feedback and love welcomed. I need some fuzz love. bad.

I had a problem with them late last year. Ordered a pedal from the U.S to be sent to Australia. Went well until it got to the USPS sorting facility in Jamaica N.Y then it turned up in France. W.T.F. Must of wanted a blow job from a French harlot. Had I known it was going to Europe I would have got it to get me some hash from Amsterdam. Anyway it got here after a few weeks of being in France. While it was in France I sent an email to U.S.P.S asking what happened, and instead of a sorry we will track it down for you, I got a standard legal jargon bullshit reply that it isn't their problem type response. No accountability what so ever  .

Any way hope all goes well for you in the end :thumb: Good luck!!

well at least that story had a good ending, heh. I kind of wish these pedals were somewhere exotic, but nope. they're in this town supposedly...
when I did talk to someone at the USPS who seemed to care, he said that the tracking labels get messed up all the time.
they get put over the address and they have to peel it back over and over. good times.
still trying to think positive. but also trying to just move on. I've wasted so much time on the phone and online with this. rather just do what I can. and if they turn up.
then :!!!: and we all benefit. the community really suffers here too.

I've had two packages that took over 6 months to arrive this year. First sat in a USPS sorting facility for 6 months, and then after I had given up all hope, it just arrived. The second one went from Oakland to Brazil and then to Canada, and arrived after 4 months, covered in stickers......

Filing a complaint on the USPS website and not living in the US, they basically right away tell you to get fucked.

So don't dispair, good things can happen....

Ok, that sounds positive. But mine both are somewhere in the German customs Office net. Or on their way back...

I don't have any horror story about USPS. The only time I had a parcel not delivered, it was from a professional seller who offered to send me the stuff again and deal with USPS by himself. Actually don't know if they ever managed to get the lost package back to the shop.
Never had any trouble with the French customs though. When they hold your stuff, it's never for long (in my experience, if the paperwork is properly filled, about 2 to 3 days.

It sucks the you lost your stuff, in this, but who knows, maybe they'll come up to the surface at some point ;)

this gives me a glimpse of hope, even living in the US they pretty much tell you that
you have to get lucky with someone who does their job correctly

stranger things have happened, their automated system is so backwards who knows where it is?
but we'll see. 6 months from now if it shows up, I'll do the happy dance of joy :!!!:
and share a toke with you all :animal:
however in the meantime, this puts a damper on things pretty hardcore
anyways, there's always a way...

sorry for being NEUROTIC as all hell

It just appeared in my mailbox today. There was a sticker placed over your address, which was ripped off. The address was still there, under the sticker residue. It is unopened.
