I've got a lead on a drop and gain locally for cheap. Thinking about putting it in my LP Standard. Right now it has Duncan Distortions in it and I'm happy with them. Just heard good things and figure for the money it wouldn't hurt to try it out.

I've got 500k pots in mine and the neck pickup is dark as fuck. Lower value pots = darker right?

I have the Drops in a '94 Les Paul Studio and was tuning to a drop C into a 6505+ > Vader 4x12. No pedals. Just amp's gain channel. I really like them. Everything sounded a bit fuller and still balanced. I liked the stock pups on the Studio but the Drops just seemed to be a bit "more". I wish I could describe it better.

I have the red silver blue set in my strat (which is in B tuning). The cleans are a bit sterile in my opinion, but any kind of overdrive/distortion/fuzz and it becomes a fire breathing dragon. The low noise is nice too.

I put the mini Drop and gains into my double on the 12 side. I like em a lot. Clarity and full sound throughout the scale. I think lace are best in a guitar that naturally sounds good. they are excellent at letting the guitars natural sound through to the amp without coloring it to much. I like the alumitones a little better but it's subjective as I have not swapped them into the same guitar to hear what the difference would be.

I just won a set of Lace Dissonant Aggressors and am currently getting ready to install them with 250K Pots into my PRS.
