um, do we hate jhs? i mean, i know everyone shits on the stealing, build quality, price, et al. but i mean, this thing looks legit cool.

My local shop got one in and sold it the same day. My buddy who manages the place tried it out and informed me that it is, in fact, hella legit. He's a pedal head, too, and knows his shit.

The only thing to note is that this company owned by the cult like Christian organization called IHOP. It's actually a local company where I live. I was on the ground floor when that "church" was opened and now the place has turned into a regular nut house. I mean it was a nuthouse before, but not like this. They have security guards...at a church...with their own cars? Why?

Anyway, as I understand it JHS sounds good, I just wouldn't buy from them as I don't want to support their commune.

This thing is so expensive. And I'm like why not just get any old overdrive? What are the advantages of this over having an OD with similar functionality and then a mixer/DI box? For still less $$$

As long as there are rad dudes behind companies like Dr. Scientist and SS/BS, JHS will never get a penny out of me.
