traded for this with BitchPudding :) Always wanted to try one of the Boss PS pedals, ended up trying this one...

it's much more fun than I expected, especially the S-Bend and Pitch Shift functions... don't care about the harmony part, really. Got it mainly for octave stuff, can't wait to try it on bass as well

anyone using Boss PS pedals for anything else than the ol' Whammy trick (except for Nick Reinhart, obviously) ? I HOPE I'll use it more for the octave up shifting than just bending, because I know how much everyone hates it

PS-6 is tits. I really like the 3-voice detune function, and the pitch shifter for blending in like a 5th or something, sounds sweet when you're playing arpeggios or whatever. It does everything really well i think.
Also if you set the fall time to zero and the rise time to max in S-bend at a couple octaves down you can do really cool intros that sound like a record slowly speeding up!

I love using the detune function for a chorus effect. I still need to try it on bass though, the harmonizing could be really cool on it.

Miss having a later Boss PS. Had a PS5 which I definitely under utilized when I had it.

Two piece called Planets used a few of them. Sounds crazy. Bass never sounded so great. Also used 2 10s 12s and 15s with one on both sides of the drums

these guys quickly became one of my most cherished favorite bands. and then they p much disappeared.
i was always confused as to how the octave effect was split up to where only the high notes would tap up an octave.. crossover maybe?
anywho i want one of these too. i already use a pog2 though :/

Yeah I think crossover. They had a forum spring or whatever that a and a site is called and someone asked. By the end it was just a 4x12. Got tired of lugging around stuff.

after some playing

I love the S-Bend for the Radiohead OK Computer type stuff. Decent tracking even with chords and such colourful sound...
Not a big fan of the Harmony section, but I bought it for octaves anyway, so not a big problem... one great thing the octave harmony does is that it's far more glitchy with chords in an awesome way. maybe not as useful in band situation, but for home recording - yeah, great
the Pitch Shift mode is cool, too, but it's a bit more laggy and has this vibrato-ish unstable feel to it. Expected it to be better. However it makes you sound a bit organ-esque maybe?

different modes have different octave behaviour. actualy quite a surprise. Anyway - the big make or break thing for me is how it's going to sound on bass. Since i'm going to focus on bass much more now, I need it to be good or sell and use the money towards a new bass :idk: will test shortly tomorrow and sometime over the weekend in rehearsal, too

I have a GT-001 allegedly here today (with crossover/envelope filtering in it for two signal chains), has a PS-06 inside as well as other stuff.

Looking forward to hearing how it sounds on my VI among other things - I haven't touched a modern Boss PS on a bass in a long, long time and I'm a much different player now.

So TL;DR - relevant to my interests, will report back with my findings as well.
