To Sarcophagus or to Apocalypse that is the question

I plan on removing my Dr Scientist Elements from my Stoner Rock board to add another fuzz. Thing is, I want it to be almost as versatile as The Elements. After a ton of research I have narrowed my choices down to the BAT Sarcophagus and the DBA Apocalypse. I've owed the Hoof/Reaper and don't really like the Fixd' Fuzz on the twosome. I really am only interested in input from someone who has used both the pedals I've mentioned or at least just pros and cons of the two. I already have an EQD Hoof and a Blakemore Effects Deus Ex Machina on the board. So I'm looking for something versatile that doesn't really sound a whole lot like either of those. I should also mention that the reason I'm gonna lose the Elements is I just got a palisades and find the two on the same board a bit redundant. Ironic, coming from a guy looking for a third Fuzz I know. But I've always liked fuzz more than normal OD/Dirt.

If you already have the Hoof on the board, the LSTR part of the sarcophagus might be redundant. I have the sarcophagus and it is great, but I mainly use the LSTR as my beefy bass high gain fuzz with the tone knob all the way to the left. It is not tame and it wants roar and be turned up! I had a bubble font russian for many years, and the LSTR can cop those tones extremely well plus has the MIDs knob so you won't lose yourself in the mix. Depending on what is going on, I will set the fuzz on the LSTR to 9-11o'clock (not out of control) but the overall volume to 3oclock to max. The pharoah can boost it to apocalypical levels of volume. There's lots that have been said about the pharaoh on this board already - it is very stackable but keep in mind your noise floor might get rather crazy... well that's just me because I sometimes turn on 3 fuzzes at once :)

The main reason I got the BAT was that I was looking for a replacement for my bubble font, and the pharaoh circuit was just icing on the cake. Hope that helps a bit. I have not played the DBA pedal, sounds pretty cool.

The Sarcophagus is killer but as mentioned maybe a little redundant with a Hoof. Not that they sound identical but that's a lot of muff flavors on one board.

The Apocalypse is really great, unique, and entirely different from a muffy sound imo. You basically get the Fuzz War, Octave Clang, and three other modes to mess with. The scoop mode is just ok sounding (kinda gated with lower output) and the wave shift mode isn't drastically different than the Fuzz War mode (maybe some extra resonance) but the filter control and gain knob can really change things up. Like all DBA dirt, it's loud as fuck but that's not a complaint, just noting that fact.

There is so much that I dislike about DBA - build quality, lack of common sense features, pricing... but I freaking love the Apocalypse and will end up getting one one of these days. It's a really nice pedal with a lot of great sounds in it.

Thank you all so much for the input. I actually ended up buying the STD twosome... The Fixd fuzz is way more appealing to me when stacked, and the STD has all the flexibility I was looking for. The Blinderbuss is a little close to the Hoof sound wise, but I am now using the hoof for lower gain muff tones, so there is a nice separation in tones. It was a tough decision tho, as the Pharaoh Supreme was an instant want for me as well. I will likely end up buying one of those as well :-/ thanks again for all the input

I love the Twoesome, good choice. The Fix'd is really unique and versatile and the Blunderbuss side crushes! A Pharoah Supreme would go well with any muff as it pulls off a literal shit ton of different flavors.

If one of the other modes on the Apocalypse is the harmonic transformer I say yeah. Go for it. It is crazy. With the fuzz war and octave clang + more it sounds like a winner to me.

I have an Apocalypse and its my favorite pedal that I own. Its amazing. Get it! If you want the place to bury strangers limited edition color, send them a message directly and they should be able to help you out. I have one and they only made 30 in that color.
