Unique Fuzz

So I've been doing some purging of gear lately
And as of now the only dirt I'm left with is my mini.
I'm leaning towards either an unpleasant surprise or a peace gun.
Basically I'm looking for a fuzz that is really it's own thing while still being usable across a vast board of sounds.
It's important that they stack well
Any users of the two care to weigh in?
I'm sure there's other fuzzes I'm overlooking

Have you looked into SS/BS year 4545? That's an unruly one that covers a lot of ground. It sounds best when stacked, IMO. Stacking also calms down the wild oscillation it tends to have.
Obviously The Elements has a ton of sounds, but I'm finding that it doesn't record well if that is an issue for you. Sounds great to just play it, though.

Unpleasant Surprise sounds amazing. But the craziest settings are hard to fit into your playing. It dictates how you can play to a certain point. When you play harder, the volume gets lower etc.

You should try a ss/bs BUZZZ. I think it sounds good on pretty much any instrument for a more standard fuzz tone but then you can kick in the octave with a second footswitch and just like, kill everything. Really full-sounding and sits nicely in a band mix. The tone scoop also sounds really good but it's not for everyone, it's a great feature to have though.
I wouldn't call it odd really but there's some really usable, inspiring sounds in there, it just has a really cool character that i've never really found in other fuzzes.

This. Or Unpleasant surprise. I use both actually.

I would not say that the unpleasant surprise stacks well. It is however unique and 100% awesome. Gnomeratron is also something I prefer on its own rather than stacked. They just have too much gain.
The Velcrobot is my all time favourite fuzz and it has kicked lots off stuff off my board (including the unpleasant surprise) but I prefer it solo to stacked. It stacks pretty well though, and because of the gating you don't have to worry to much about the gain so it could work.
I'd suggest an Arc Flash. It is a stack master and goes from clean boost (seriously) to low gain OD to frizzle fry transformer explosion sounds.
4545 is also rad. Clean blend helps stackability.
But Arc Flash.

Maybe not as 'out there' as the 4545 or unpleasant surprise, but my Red Witch fuzz god II can squeel and oscillate as good as any other good fuzz factory-esque pedal. The thing is, it's more versatile, less tweakable, and better at 'useable' fuzz tones than the ff. Plus I think it costs a bit less. I'm kind of out of the loop when it comes to this style of weird glitchy fuzz peddles though, I gotto admit those ss/bs, dwarfcraft, fairfield peds sound sick in the clips I just checked.

What is this Noise Ensemble of which you speak?

The noise ensemble is pretty cool especially for the part count. It is a PT23999 based fuzz/delay. But it is no ordinary delay it can get some crazy fuzzy stuff. I think it only has a couple resistors and capacitors and a delay chip. It was something someone created on the DIY stompboxes forum.

Cool, thanks dude.
Will add it to the list of things to have a look at when life gets less chaotic...
