I've had the idea in my head that owning an empty guitar would be a lot of fun.
Let's arouse our brains with some hot pics of some guitars that are similiar in design to jackolaterns
Preferably not the go to ones we are used to seeing but I guess it doesn't really matter.
I always thought surfcasters seemed cool

That thing is super hot dude!
Never played a chambered guitar - are they more prone to feedback?

Hägstrom's are amazingly beautiful. I'd probably own a Viking Baritone if it wasn't for the damn royalist lys flower on the headstock. Frenchies have a tradition of overthrowing and/or beheading monarchs, a tradition that I fully embrace.

I love semi hollow guitars and have owned/used several over the years. Started with a 335 and moved on to a 339. Both were cool but I wanted something more unique.
This search led me to a Maton BB1200JH and it ruled really hard. Beautifully crafted, great playability, and nice versatility with the coil tapped HBs.
I eventually sold that Maton to fund my EGC Chessie which I love even more. Same deal, amazing build quality and a pleasure to play (and stare at). Even more versatile with dual HBs, each with a 3-way slider to go from inner coil/HB mode/outer coil. I'll never sell this one:

There's a few others I'd love to try but they're so cost prohibitive I don't even bother GASing. Just the occasional tinge of lust.
First is the Nik Huber Surfmeister, a recent NAMM release. Amazing build quality and unique features like stripped maple binding, sterling silver ring inlays, and a gorgeous aging process. But the price tage of nearly 6K kills that GAS real fast.
The Koll Duo Glide is a sexy bitch as well.

Whoa there, I can't forget ILF's own tommasters custom, goddamn this thing is sexy head-to-toe. Reminds me a little of the first one posted up there.

I got this, it's fully hollow:
I should probably take my own photo of it.

...and Saul is probably one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet.
It's on my list of eventual guitars to get one from him. His stuff is amazing.
Bilt Zaftig is drool worthy. Vintage Coronado's come up way cheaper than I think they should be every few months out here. I'll probably pick one up next time I see a good price…

Woah, how do you change between pickups? or is it just both all the time? I realize this isn't your guitar but maybe one of you guys knows haha.
Thanks for the pics so far guys!
