Congrats on getting the first SS Peavey!!! No clue how many were made but there number seems to be less than 300. I know of 5 of them.

250 watts at 4 ohms.

How much you pay for yours? Everything work?

Mine, restored and the fuzz was modded by Bear Amps.

I overpaid, $255  but its been ran thru by a tech recently so i think i didnt overpay by that much. Either the Tremelo doesnt work or the footswitch for the tremelo doesnt work, either way i cant really say i care.

Fuzz is suprisingly good and the equalizer on the far right top is very interesting, reverb is cathederal or super cave like. It sounds absolutely awesome though

Thanks for the ohm rating, i ran it thru a 16ohm cab just to make sure

I don't thinkg 255 is overpaying at all. Mainly cause you don't have to pay someone to go through it once you got it. that's kinda built in how I see it. Congrats duder!

Dude that thing looks unbelievably badass.
Also thats like $1 per watt, so that's an awesome deal regardless.

I paid $40 for mine, $80 for the footswitchand then the restomod bill was $200, so it cost me around $300. Well worth it for a piece of Peavey history. This things has crazy amounts of reverb doesnt it? Like too much verb sometimes. Love the natural OD, and the fuzz gets better with volume, my sweet spot is 7.

Oh yeah, love the way it naturally overdrives, ive never heard an amp that sounds quite like this one and i love it, its probably kicked the f-800b out of my stable lol

Reverb is massive, like bigger-than-the-cave-setting-on-a-verbzilla massive.

I got this because of the clips you posted, glad i finally found one!

I had to buy the footswitch seperately too Mc_Muench, cant believe i found both at the same time really, how often do you find a pretty rare amp and footswitch form 1969 at the same time?

The old Peaveys seem to have loads of bass, the Standard 260 series i have shakes my house with the folded horn cab and the f-800b i have has insane amounts of low end.............ill trade you an f-800b for a couple v4s..... :hello:
