I think Half Stack unless I was uber famous like Nirvana or SP. Then I'd have speakers all over the place.... I love the set up SP had on their MCIS tour....it was like "Alright let's just put all of our gear right here." Only they didn't really stack it, they lined it up.
But yeah, I say hlaf stack because I like simplicity. and being in a two piece i like the look of drums and one half stack.

I'm rocking the combo atm.
I'd really like a nice half stack but I used to have one and remember the hassle of carting it around.

I go the double stack route...
The wall tends to have too many dummy cabs. Double, you use everything. Although you really need a head for each cab for maximum volume....that is the real way to roll.

Well..
Currently have the B-15 stack, V4B, 2 4x12 cabs, 1 2x15 cab and 2 2x12 cabs .
Then there are the combos.
I like to move a lot of air.
I have a friend in the sound and equipment rental business so could get a hold of 4 SVTs and 2 more V4Bs if I wanted to play loud.

I primarily play bass, for while I'm rocking a head and two cabs.
When I do play guitar, I prefer combos because I like pushing them to max, and even half stacks can blow the ceiling off at full bore.

I voted combo, cause if I had my druthers, I'd be rocking a Twin Reverb custom 15. But as it is, I'm orkcing a twin rreverb with no internal speakers, and a giant 15" bass cab

So thats kind of a half stack, I guess.

my favorite's a fender deluxe plus laney bass half stack.
i split my effects chain into "normal" and "bass" and run the channels through the appropriate amps.
combo plus half = whole?
