BENDHY- Aphex Twin's Lost Album wound up on youtube

While it has been more than a decade since we last got new original music from the elusive, indescribably influential Richard D. James bka Aphex Twin, today we get something pretty close. As previously announced, Aphex Twin’s unreleased 1994 album Caustic Window surfaced online as a vinyl test pressing, which the owner was selling for $13,500. After striking a deal with extremely dedicated fan forum We Are The Music Makers, James, and James’ label, a Kickstarter was set up that would provide backers with a digital copy of the 70-minute album. Now that time has come, and the album is already available on Youtube.

Not embedded because it's a playlist. I haven't listened to AT in a long time but this is, uh, less abrasive than I remember.

Doesn't look like there's going to be an official physical release. The person who ran the kickstarter is selling blank CDRs with artwork and digipack cases to burn your own for $10 more.

I have a vynil rip of it if anybody wants it. I can throw it up in the thread here on megaupload or whatever.
It's ok but I can definitely see why RDJ left it on the shelf.

Def agree.
It has its high moments...some typical killer grooves from aggressive arrangements sprinkled throughout...but overall it feels like it's too long and bloated...even repetitive of a project.
With the other stuff he was releasing during that era, it's no wonder why this was put on the back burner. Worth a listen either way!
