How long have you been playing music?

Was just thinking about it a few minutes ago, I've been playing 'music' now for almost 10 years.
Started with pedal and junk noise, morphed into guitar, etc etc etc

Almost 13 years. Started off with bass guitar, picked up and upright two years later and started playing with the Youth Symphony in town. Now I'm in school for music performance.

9 years? I taught myself to play bass to my then-roommate's technical math metal stuff, playing an unamplified electric bass I got for 40 bucks. Did that for about 6 months till I got an amp for Christmas.
Played a lot of different types of music over the years, but my true love is the heavy shit.

I'm looking at 22 years since picking up my first pair of drumsticks, and 18 playing guitar and bass.... Still can't play a stringed instrument worth a damn IMO

14ish years for me. Wish I had spent more of that time actually practicing instead of just dicking around... I should definitely be a lot better than I am

Picked up guitar when I was 12, that didn't last long, I got too easily frustrated. Picked up bass when I was 14 cause it was different, determined to play it differently, I somewhat succeeded. So like 6, 7 years.

25 years - piano for the first few, guitar for the last 18 years.
