Running Dirt Into Smokey Amp

My sister just got me a Smokey Amp for my birthday, and it's really cool and sounds great! For those of you who don't know what it is, it's a tiny amp that is housed in a cigarette box and powered by a 9V battery.

Last night, I was messing around with putting more dirt into the amp to see what kind of sounds I could get. I ran an EQD Talons and Hoof Reaper into it, and they both sounded great, but I am a little worried about damaging the speaker by pushing it more dirt into it. Thoughts? Thanks in advance for the input!

I'm not sure, but I just learned that they now make a speakerless Smokey.

Hmm...

Smokeys are cool, mmmmkay.

They will drive an extension cabinet quite nicely & sound real cool doing it. Maybe that is an option if you're worried about the little speaker. I've smacked mine with many high output Fuzzers with no ill effects. They are quite hearty units from my experience.

I ran it into my regular amp, and it does indeed sound great. And that's good to hear. That thing sounds awesome with fuzz going into it!

Using the out into my 200 watt EV-loaded TL-806 thiele cab, the Smokey is too loud to avoid annoying spouses and neighbors when cranked. Opens up some headroom, but the bass has some warts that fuck with clean sounds unless you want it a bit fucked up.
