2 knob bass wiring woes

I have this old really cheap bass that has gone through some mods and some fixes but its still pretty original and crappy. But I'm recording and I want to use it. Plugged it in for the first time in like 6 months and it didn't work. I followed some wiring diagrams but I still haven't found anything that is working for me

2 knobs, vol and tone, and one pickup.

Also, there are some wires that I'm not positive what they are. One is a random black wire coming out of the body by where the output jack is (white circle) and the others are two wires coming from the pickups (other circ). The pickup ones, I just don't know which is which and haven't been able to find out how to tell.

Can anyone point me to some diagrams so I can get this thing working again?

The wire circled in white is the ground wire that the bridge rests right on top of.
