Playing a show in a Quonset Hut tonight. These things are all over alaska, but I've never been in one (I live in the "big" city here, 359,180 residents according to wiki). This is not the venue, just a generic image to illustrate what I'm talking about. I'll post tommorow about how it goes.

Show was pretty cool. Played with a couple of metal bands tha were local to the town we were in, so the crowd was a bunch of 12-17 year old metal kids. It was fun and they have pretty lofty ambitions for the place. (Including a VIP room with foosball, air hockey, and a sauna! with stairs that go straight to the stage.) Apparently the buildings previous owners had a massive marijuana operation going on in there. (This is not at all surprising to anyone who knows the area)

I couldn't hear anything when we played but a little of the guitar, but apparently it sounded good from the crowd, so whatevss. Also, first show where we used the Wolf Computer live!!!! It was awesome.

Tonight we are playing at pretty much my favorite venue, The Kodiak. It is a gay bar/ party place/ coke bar that I live next door to. The downstairs space where we do the live music is hardwood floored and dark, but one of the walls is mirrored, and it always feels huge in there, even though its actually small and people get to interacting and dancing together because of the proximity. It has the perfect atmosphere for having fun and dancing/ rocking out at a live music venue. And the bartender gives me free drinks because he thinks I'm cute. (Too bad I don't drink anything but Shirley Temples) He flirts heavily with me. Its fun!!!

gay bar show was off the chain!!!!!!!!!!!! so fun! Got to play an old friends AMAZING drum kit. So fun! No free drinks tonight...
